What Psychotherapy Services do Brighter Days offer?

Brighter Days provides individual, family, and group psychotherapy services to adolescents and adults. These sessions can be conducted either in-person or telehealth. 

What is individual therapy?

Individual therapy allows one person to talk about the difficulty of coping and/or functioning in life. Some of the issues an Individual may experience include depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, self-esteem issues, anger and impulse control problems, and adjustment challenges.

What is family therapy?

Family therapy allows one person to invite his or her identified “family member” (mate, child, sibling, or friend) to his or her treatment to talk about relational concerns that may be exacerbating his or her status, or vice versa. Some family-related issues may include parenting concerns, relationship issues, communication problems, conflict resolution, and adjustment challenges.

 

What is group therapy?

Group therapy is when a person participates with other individuals to describe and discuss his or her problems in a clinical setting. Some group-related issues may include stress and grief management along with self-esteem issues. 

 

Do Brighter Days, Inc. accept health insurance plans?

Yes, we accept most major health insurance plans. Some of the insurances include: Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, Medicare Part B, Optum Care (Veterans Administration Community Care Program), and United Behavioral Health along with several Medicaid plans. In addition, we have partnered with several Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). These programs are provided by employers for their employees to receive short-term talk therapy/supportive counseling with no cost to the employee. Some of our affiliated Employee Assistance Programs include: Health Advocate, Humana, Spring Health, United Behavioral Health, and Workplace Options. 

 

Private pay is also available to individuals who do not have or want to use their insurance coverage. Sessions are $125 per session. 

 

Note: Credit cards are accepted for co-payments and private paying patients on the company’s portal.

What is Brighter Days' Cancellation Policy?

 A $30 cancellation fee will be assessed to a patient’s account if he or she misses or fails to cancel an appointment in less than 24 hours of his or her scheduled appointment. 

How long are therapy sessions?
The average length of most sessions are 50 to 55 minutes.

How long is therapy? 

The length of therapy varies from person to person. However, therapy typically lasts from six months to about two years, depending on the individual or family’s clinical needs and frequency of sessions. In addition, individualized recovery/treatment plans are developed and reviewed quarterly with the patients and/or the family to measure the goals and progress throughout treatment.
